Chicken Lettuce Wraps

What you’ll need:

  • 1 lb ground chicken

  • Olive oil 

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 yellow onion, diced

  • Optional: shredded carrots or cabbage

  • 1/4 c Hoisin sauce 

  • 2 tbsp soy sauce

  • 1 tbsp rice wine vinegar

  • 1 tbsp grated ginger

  • 1 tbsp sriracha 

  • 2 green onions

  • Sesame seeds (for garnish)

  • 1 head butter lettuce

  • Optional: steamed jasmine rice

How to make it:

  1. Brown your chicken in about a tablespoon of oil

  2. Once chicken is cooked, add the garlic

  3. Add onion and the whites from the green onions and cook for a couple minutes (Also add in additional veggies at this step, like shredded carrots, cabbage, or broccoli)

  4. Add in hoisin, soy sauce, vinegar, ginger, and sriracha. Simmer for a few minutes to let flavors cook together.

  5. Remove from heat and garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.

  6. Serve into lettuce cups or over jasmine rice
