Beef Empanadas

What you’ll need:

  • 2 white onions, diced

  • 1 red bell pepper, diced

  • 1 green bell pepper, diced

  • 1 tbsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp salt

  • Fresh black pepper

  • Tsp beef bouillon 

  • 1 lb ground beef

  • 2 tbsp paprika 

  • 1 tsp cumin 

  • 1 tsp chili powder

  • 1 tsp oregano 

  • Empanada dough or pie crust

How to make them:

  1. Add onions and peppers to a pot and season with garlic powder, salt, pepper, and beef bouillon 

  2. Add the ground beef and season with paprika, cumin, chili powder, and oregano and cook for another 10-15 minutes.

  3. Cool the mixture in the fridge.

  4. Once cooled, add a spoonful to the empanada dough or onto small squares cut from pie crust

  5. Fold the corners to close or use a fork to press the edges together

  6. Brush empanadas with egg wash

  7. Bake in a 425ºF convection oven for 20 minutes
